Are you a German citizen with interest in gaining hands-on experience in international business relations between Germany and Indonesia? AHK Indonesia/EKONID opens the opportunity for you to join our 3-6 months internship program in a Market Research position. You will assist in projects that promote German businesses and foster partnerships in Indonesia.


Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support in:

• Research on emerging industry trends, market opportunities, and regulatory environments in Indonesia. Summarize findings into reports, presentations, and articles.
• Organizing and coordinating business delegations from Germany to Indonesia. This includes handling logistics, participant management, and scheduling business meetings.
• Preparation and execution of webinars, conferences, and networking events that connect German and Indonesian businesses. 
• Drafting articles for EKONID’s website, newsletters, and social media channels. Translate relevant content from German to English or Indonesian. 
• Day-to-day tasks, including database management, coordinating meetings, and handling communication with EKONID members and partners. 
• Identifying potential business partners for German companies and assist in B2B matchmaking activities.

Requirements

• German citizen
• Completed or ongoing Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, business administration, international relations, or related fields.
• Strong command of written and spoken English. Basic knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently, show initiative, and adapt to a dynamic work environment. 
• Interest in German-Indonesian Relations and keen to learn about and contribute to bilateral economic relations. 
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Internship period:

The German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (EKONID) offers an internship opportunity in its Legal & Investment Consultation Department, ideal for recent law graduates from reputable universities in Indonesia. Interns will gain practical experience in an international environment by supporting German and international businesses in areas such as foreign direct investment, export-import, and regulatory compliance in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide day-to-day legal support
• Prepare presentation materials and correspondence with clients
• Attend meetings and support coordination with clients and government institutions
• Draft legal insights for publication
• Preparation and execution of legal webinars

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university
• Proficiency in English (German is an advantage)
• Strong research and writing skills
• Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively manage multiple tasks.
• Interest in German-Indonesian bilateral economic relations
